I want to thank you all for your wonderful support, prayers and encouraging cards during my medical leave these last few months.
I have been fighting Lyme disease, a complex, debilitating and aggressive illness the past 2 ½ years, and have spent the past 3 months doing intense medical treatment, with another 3 months to go. I will continue to be on maintenance treatment for an unforeseen amount of time, in order to gain and to stay in remission. My immune system is very low and fragile; therefore I need to be very careful with hugs, handshakes and my exposure to nasty germ bugs!
I appreciate your concern, interest and patience with me these past several years as I’ve struggled from time to time with speech and memory delays, and limited energy to explain this illness to those who ask. I am focusing on the treatment plans given to me by wonderful specialists in this field that God has lead me to. Please bear with me a little longer as I regain my stamina, immune health, and my memory recall and speech back to the level that we are all accustomed to.
The peace that God has given me throughout this journey is beyond words. Even in the face of uncertainty, few answers and little hope at times, God’s peace has been with me and he has carried me, and continues to carry me through this adventure! I have missed you all and look forward to being back to work, and back to normal – soon
