Dear Gateway Family,
Thank you so much for making this year's Community Christmas Fair a wonderful day! Highlights for us included all the Gateway people who volunteered to work at it...older people, young people, families, mothers and daughters, people struggling physically, people changing plans so that they could be a part, people buying hot dogs...and going out and buying more hot dogs, people getting rides so they could come and help, people giving those people rides, people greeting the community with smiles upon smiles, musicians entertaining in the sanctuary and then coming upstairs to entertain there, people offering supplies weeks before the event, people buying what we needed at the last minute...the list goes on and on.
Comments from those that attended included someone stating it is THE BEST DAY of the Christmas season for them. "It is really all free?" they ask us. Another visitor commenting on the pure joy found in the room on people's faces. It didn't seem to slow down, even later with the football game going on. Many were still creating gifts when we flashed the lights at 2pm. All seemed extremely grateful and to be enjoying the day. God has blessed us with a unique opportunity to interact with our community and show the love of Jesus in a very tangible way. We thank each and every one of you for your part in that.
